I've finished listening to the book yesterday late at night and won't give up and go to bed until I spent at least two hours reading the comments about it.
My personal impression:
* all the mysteries left unanswered is just a brilliant marketing tool aiming at readers discussing the plot in the internet and thus arrising the curiosity of the others.
* at the end of book one I literary had to make myself continue listening, but the second book was quite gripping, I must admit.
* the book is very philosophical: about the choice each of us makes in life: to lead a structured life or to try your luck from time to time. It questiones the sense of living in itself and undoubtedly leaves the question open for the reader to dwell on...
What do you think?
Anyway, the book won 'Booker Price' so it's definitely worth reading.
At least out of curiosity
