The Butcher and the Lawyer

A lawyer's (a person who advises people about the law) dog, running about unleashed (freely, with no rope or chain around the neck), beelines (goes directly, in a straight line) for a butcher shop (a shop that sells all kinds of meat) and steals a roast (a big piece of meat). The butcher goes to the lawyer's office and asks, "If a dog running unleashed steals a piece of meat from my store, do I have a right (something that the law alllows us to do, something we CAN do) to demand payment for the meat from the dog's owner?" The lawyer answers, "Absolutely." "Then you owe me $12.50. Your dog was loose and stole a roast from me today." The lawyer, without a word, writes the butcher a check (a piece of paper that can be taken to the bank for payment) for $12.50. A few days later the butcher receives a letter from the lawyer: "$45 due (money that he must pay now) for consultation" (discussion, especially with a doctor, a lawyer or an advisor).

Anyway I doubt if the quality characterizes a man in a positive way))) As a lawyer - yes, sure, but if we take into account human values...

well, nobody´s perfect so it´s great if you can at least take advantage of your darker side of personality hehe

It's a really fresh idea, I haven't thought of that! May be you are right, but... I wouldn't like to have such a person (I mean the lawyer) among my friends...
