Kreisler and Elman were in a café. The waiter approaches with an envelope. The outside of the envelope reads, "To the greatest violinist in the world". They exchange modesties. "Fritz, this must be for you. "No, Mischa, surely this is meant for you". Curiosity gets the better of them, and they open it. It begins, "Dear Jascha...". Charlie Chaplin played the trick on them!
