

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of skim milk
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 tablespoons of cornstarch
4 tablepspoons of oat bran
2 tablespoons of wheat bran
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of sweetener (Canderel, aspartame powder, or Stevia)
Directions:
In a bowl, mix dry yeast together with both brans and cornstarch, then set aside. In a saucepan, combine water, milk and salt, then bring to a boil. When it begins to boil, add in the dry mixture of ingredients, then stir for a while until a dough begins to form. Pour the dough into a bowl and let stand at least half an hour until cool.
Once the dough is cold, place the mixture into a pastry bag. Bake for 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove baked churros from oven, then sprinkle with cinnamon and sweetener.
